Gilbert & Jones is a partnership forged by two individuals who built their careers in the chemical industry - Chris Jones, president of R.M. Jones & Co., and George Gilbert, who brought with him two decades of experience with a leading chemical distributor. George's experience in chemical distribution, technical prowess and relationship-building skills, combined with the existing infrastructure of Chris' business, created a unique synergy that helped the men achieve over $1 million in sales in their first year of operation.
Established in 1991 as a privately owned company, Gilbert & Jones focused on three cornerstones of their business:

As an active participant in the $30 billion U.S. chemical industry, Gilbert & Jones distributes the proprietary brands of leading chemical manufacturers for use in a wide variety of industrial products, including adhesives and sealants, agriculture, automotive, cosmetics/personal care, electronics, food and beverages, municipal, paints and coatings, pharmaceuticals, plastics, pulp and paper, soaps and detergents and textiles. The company serves customers throughout southern New England, as well as New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It can ship metals and equipment nationwide.
